Performance Teams

OUR CURRENT PERFORMANCE TEAM SESSION:

WHO DO WE DANCE FOR?

Our Performance Teams bring joy and entertainment to many venues and events, including: Corporate Galas, Nursing Homes, Community Expos, Car Shows, Wedding Fairs, County Fairs, the MN State Fair, our own Studio Showcases, and Ballroom Dance Competitions.

OUR LADIES

TEAM

Our Ladies Team uses Ballroom dance footwork, patterns and technique, without being connected to a partner.  It is not a Line Dance- our Performance Team routines are choreographed beginning to end to fit each song, and create different formations throughout the dance floor.  There is no constant straight line or repeat like Line Dances have.

OUR COUPLES

TEAM

Our Couples Team uses a variety of Ballroom dancing, choreography, and formations with partners!  If you are interested in our Couples Team, but do not have your own partner, let us know.  We do our best to match those interested with a dance partner.

BOTH PERFORMANCE

TEAM

Both Performance Teams have a weekly 75-minute rehearsal commitment.  If you are not able to practice on a consistent weekly basis, then our Performance Teams are not for you.

What to know

Most of our shows, events, and competitions occur on weekends.  If your weekend schedule isn’t flexible, then our Performance Teams are not for you.

There are no try-outs.  Everyone is welcome to join our Performance Teams.  You do not need any dance experience, as each routine is choreographed from scratch.  We video choreography each week and make it available for you to practice on your own at home.

If you miss more than 1 practice in a 4-week period, you are required to purchase and take a private lesson from the Coach.  You may invite other team members to join your makeup lesson.

Coordinated costumes, dance shoes, and studio logo jackets are required.

Costumes, accessories, admission tickets, parking, photography, food, and competition fees are not included in the cost of tuition.

Performance Teams start new dances approximately every 10 weeks, and this is when new people can join.

Showing up every week, being on time, practicing on your own, and making up missed practices, are all very important for the success of our Teams and Instructor.  You will need to sign that you have read our Team Commitment.
